About the Role

The Event Coordinator serves as a central support role in the planning and execution of the Strong Mind 5K. This individual works closely with NAAMH leadership to help manage timelines, coordinate between teams, and ensure planning milestones are met. Responsibilities include tracking progress across planning areas, assisting with logistics coordination, and supporting race-day execution as a point of contact for coordinators, volunteers, and vendors.
This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills who enjoys overseeing multiple moving parts and helping an event come together successfully.

Requirements

Experience & Requirements
  • No formal degree required

  • Prior experience with events, sports teams, nonprofits, or community programs is helpful but not required

  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills

  • Ability to attend planning check-ins and be fully available on race day

  • Comfortable problem-solving and supporting leadership decisions

Time Commitment:
  • Light planning support leading up to the event

  • Full availability on race day (June 6, 2026)

About the Company

The National Association for Athletes’ Mental Health (NAAMH) is dedicated to supporting mental health awareness, education, and resources for athletes. The Strong Mind 5K is our inaugural in-person event, bringing the community together to move with purpose and support athlete well-being.
