About Strong Mind 5k
The Strong Mind 5K is brought to you by the National Association for Athletes’ Mental Health (NAAMH), a nonprofit charity organization dedicated to supporting the mental wellness of athletes at all levels. Our mission is to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and provide resources that help athletes thrive both on and off the field.
The Strong Mind 5K is more than just a race—it’s a movement. By combining fitness, community, and mental health advocacy, we aim to create an environment where participants can celebrate resilience, challenge themselves, and support a cause that matters. Whether you’re a competitive runner, a casual walker, or joining as part of a team, every step you take helps us provide programs, education, and outreach to empower athletes with the tools they need for mental well-being.
When you run the Strong Mind 5K, you’re moving with purpose—both physically and mentally. Every dollar raised and donated through this event directly supports the National Association for Athletes’ Mental Health (NAAMH) and helps fund our Mental Health First Aid program launching this fall, along with additional programs currently in development. Proceeds also support workshops led by certified mental performance coaches, essential operational and business expenses that allow our organization to grow sustainably, and expanded access to mental health education and resources for athletes at all levels. By participating, you’re not just crossing a finish line—you’re helping build stronger, healthier, and more supported athletic communities.
We strive to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health in sports and highlight the importance of seeking help and support when facing mental wellness challenges. Through our initiatives, we aim to create a culture of understanding, compassion, and proactive mental health management within the athletic community.
At NAAMH, we believe strong minds create strong athletes. Together, we’re building a community that prioritizes mental health, celebrates athletic achievement, and fosters lasting impact.
