About the event
Strong Mind 5K 2026
The Strong Mind 5K is a community run and walk dedicated to promoting mental wellness in athletics and raising awareness for the importance of mental health in sports and everyday life. Hosted by the National Association for Athletes’ Mental Health (NAAMH), this event brings together athletes, families, students, and supporters to celebrate resilience, strength, and the connection between mind and body.
More than a race, the Strong Mind 5K is a movement to reduce stigma, spark conversation, and provide vital resources for athletes facing mental health challenges. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to run, walk, or cheer as we build a supportive community committed to well-being, performance, and balance.
Proceeds from the event directly support NAAMH programs, education, and outreach initiatives that empower athletes to prioritize mental health, access support, and thrive both on and off the field. Together, we run for…

Kids Run (0.75m Ages: 4-12)

The Strong Mind 5K Kids Run is a fun and supportive .75-mile run/walk designed for children ages 4–12. This untimed event gives kids the chance to participate, stay active, and celebrate movement in a safe, encouraging environment. The Kids Run will begin shortly after the 5K and all participants will receive a finisher medal, bib, and post-run refreshments. Parents are welcome to run or walk alongside younger children.
